COMLUX B787 SET RECORD 20 HOUR NON-STOP FLIGHT

On the 29th March, a private B787-8, managed by Comlux and with registration P4-787, made history with a non-stop flight from Seoul Incheon (ICN/RKSI) to Buenos Aires (EZE/SAEZ). The flight lasted 20 hours and 19 minutes, making it the longest flight ever recorded!

Here is the flight data provided by Comlux:

Seoul RKSI 28/03 03:47 UTC (28/03 12:47 LT) – Buenos Aires SAEZ 29/03 00:26 UTC (28/03 21:26 LT)
Block time 20h 39’
Flight time 20h 19’
Fuel remaining 8.2 Tons (for another 1h 30’)

The flight crew completed the 10,520 NM route connecting the true antipodes. The flight was piloted by Argentine Captain Enrique PiƱeyro.

Shortly after landing in Buenos Aires, the plane refueled and operated the 40 minute flight to Punta del Este (PDP), so I guess it’s safe to say the plane was really pushing its range.

It goes without saying that this is well beyond the typical published range of the aircraft, but presumably the plane was more or less empty, so it could operate much further than under typical conditions.
The basics of P4-787, the plane in question
