As Rex airlines don't fly into Brisbane (yet) I have never seen their new (ex Virgin Australia) Boeing 737-800's in the Rex livery. They began flying into the Gold Coast last Monday the 29th March, and I knew there were going to be three (out of the four they have) different Rex aircraft coming into the Gold Coast today. So I got up early, and with my eldest daughter in tow, we made the 86 km (54 miles) drive to the Gold Coast Airport. The first Rex was due in from Sydney at 8.50 am local time so we got down there around 8.00 am. On arrival we noticed the aircraft hadn't even left Sydney yet so we knew it was going to be late. The second Rex was coming up from Melbourne and was due in at 9.30 am local time. The Melbourne Rex arrived at 9.50 am and the Sydney Rex didn't arrive until 10.00 am.
The third Rex also from Sydney was due to arrive at 12.50 pm and arrived 10 minutes behind at 1.00 pm.
