Melbourne to get the Singapore A350 from today

Singapore Airlines will begin Airbus A350 flights to Melbourne from today, some three weeks earlier than the previously-slated September 1 kick-off.
It's the first Australian destination for the airline's A350 which is already flying to places like Amsterdam, Johannesburg and Düsseldorf.
The A350-941 which is rostered for the daily Singapore-Melbourne flight is only a temporary change as after 22nd October it'll move onto the new daily Singapore-San Francisco service starting 23rd October, while the SQ207/208 flights will switch back to a Boeing 777-200 jet.

SQ207 will depart Singapore at 07.40 and is expected to arrive in Melbourne at 17.05.
The A350 will only be on the ground for a short period of time as it heads back to Singapore as SQ 208 at 18.25 arriving in Singapore just after midnight at 00.15

Melbourne is also earmarked for Thai Airways' first two Airbus A350s, while Cathay Pacific is expected to begin A350 flights to Australia in early 2017.
Qatar Airways was the first airline to introduce the A350 to Australia back in May this year with the debut of its daily Adelaide-Doha flight.
