The airline's first aircraft was an Avro 504K.
The airline started flying internationally from May 1935, when it commenced a service from Darwin to Singapore. In June 1959 Qantas entered the jet age when its first Boeing 707-138 was delivered.
In 1920 Qantas had its headquarters in Winton, Queensland but in 1921 the head office moved to Longreach, Queensland where it stayed until mid 1930.
In 1930 the head office moved to Brisbane but in May 1957 they moved again to Sydney.

To celebrate their 95th Birthday Qantas will today be releasing a second Boeing 737 in retro colours from 1950.
