Brisbane to Townsville Flight

Having put in my resignation with the company this will be my last business flight for the year.

My flight to Townsville on Qantas 970 was leaving from gate 22 at 8.50am. The aircraft for today is a Boeing 737-838 VH-XZC (CN 39361) We began boarding at 8.30 and I was in seat 18F, we pushed back at 8.50 and began taxiing for runway 19 at 8.55am. We had a rolling start so we became airborne at 9.03 and after a short climb we bank right flying out over the city before setting course for Townsville

Our flight took us up over the Sunshine Coast then north to Gladstone continuing on passing west of Mackay and on into Townsville. We began our descent at 10.09 and landed on runway 01 at 10.37.

After picking up my car I headed to a small town called AYR; about an hour south of Townsville; when I returned to Townsville I checked in, got changed and headed for the airport to see what was around.

Disappointingly not much at all.
