Australian Border Secruity strikes at eight airports - Expect lenghty delays

Disruptions are expected at Australia's international airports today as more than 5,000 Australian Border Force officers stop work for 24 hours.
The industrial action is part of a union campaign against the Federal Government's proposed cuts to conditions and pay.
The strike will affect all of Australia's eight international airports, maritime ports and mail centres as frontline workers take full-action from this morning.
The stoppage by Immigration Department union members — which includes Border Force officers — could see a delay in passport and arrival card checks at air and sea ports and delayed baggage and cargo.
The Community and Public Sector Union's Nadine Flood said the strike would affect international travellers as they passed through customs.
Skeleton staff will be on hand to check arrival cards and passports and to carry out customs inspections and screening.
Affected airports are Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth, Darwin, Cairns and Gold Coast
