Day 2 in Cairns

When I am in Cairns I always stay at the Acacia Court Hotel, and most of the time I get the same room, 801, which looks directly over the airport. You can clearly see the airport and the runway so you can see who's coming and going; this makes for fantastic plane spotting and especially at night when the runway lights on. This time unfortunately they had me in 804 but as you can see I can still see the airport and the runway; but no where near as good as 801.

Today I had a little over an hour around lunch time before my next business meeting so; with lunch in hand I headed out to the airport for a while. I noticed taxiway Bravo 4 was closed due to repairs so landing aircraft had to backtrack if they missed taxiway Bravo 3 (That would explain the very hard braking yesterday morning when I landed)
