Brisbane to Auckland Flight

Our day started at 4am because we had something exciting on today and that is we had to head to the airport. This was nothing new for me as I am flying off somewhere for work on a regular bases. But there was a tad of excitement in the air this morning; we were flying to Auckland and we were going on the Airbus A380 with Emirates Airlines.
We arrived at the airport at 5.30 am and after checking in and passing through customs we were finally in the departure area of the International Airport. We watched our plane land and we watched it taxi to gate 75; the registration for today's flight was A6-EEM. We boarded this magnificent beast at 7.30 am; and we were sitting in 87J K and 88 J K. (So both my girls could get a window seat with a view I chose to sit way back away from the giant wings)
We pushed back at 8.03; and we started taxing for runway 01 at 8.12; we lined up on runway 01 and started rolling at 8.19 and we were airborne 30 seconds later. Getting airborne we made a few right hand turns and then set course for Auckland. We climbed to flt lvl 410 and this flight is normally 3hrs 30 mins. New Zealand is 2 hours ahead of Australia so we had to adjust our watches. We started our descent at 10.18 (Brisbane Time) and touched down in Auckland on runway 23L 30 mins early at 12.50 pm Auckland time (10.50 am Brisbane Time); we taxied to the gate pulling up at 12.56.
When we landed I asked if I could visit the cockpit for a quick photo; the response blew me away... Not only were we all invited in; we got to sit in the seats and I was given the captains hat to wear.
