Auckland to Brisbane Flight

This morning we woke to another beautiful day; clear sunny morning and little to no wind. As we were heading home tonight we had to check out of our apartment at 10. We went for a walk around Auckland city and then at 1.30 pm took a river cruise. Docking back just after 3pm we quickly headed for the car and made our way; in peak hour traffic; to the airport for our 7 pm flight back home. We arrived just after 4.30 pm, checked in and cleared customs, then headed for the departure lounges to see the Emirates A380's depart. As soon as we arrived there the first one of three Emirates was taxiing past; and we knew this baby was off to Brisbane. As night falls very quickly, around 5.15 pm, it wasn't long before the lights inside the terminal put an end to photos of aircraft outside.
We saw our China Airlines A330 land and it pulled up right in front of our window where we were sitting.

RUNWAY 23L AUCKLAND

APPROACH LIGHTING IN BRISBANE

We started boarding at 6.40 pm (NZ Time) the aircraft was an Airbus A330-302 and the registration was B-18360 (CN 1450). We pushed back from gate 2 at 7.22 pm and commenced taxiing at 7.28. We taxied up to the holding point of 23L. We had a rolling start and became airborne at 7.37 pm local  (5.37 pm Brisbane time). We climbed to 340 and the flight was smooth for "most" of the way; there were a few patches of turbulence; then out of the blue was an almighty drop; which had my family in a panic. The turbulence had passed and the flight was smooth once again; we started our descent into Brisbane at 10.18 NZ (8.18 pm Brisbane) We landed on runway 01 in Brisbane right on 9.00 pm local time and we taxied to gate 78; pulling up there at 9.13.
