Auckland Airport Day 2

We woke to horrible, miserable weather but it didn't stop us from looking around this amazing city. We went to a place called Devonport on the north side of Auckland where we had breakfast. Then after that we went up to a lookout that looked back over towards Auckland City. We  came across a ferry service at the wharf so we booked a river cruise for Friday Afternoon; and we received a complimentary return ticket to Auckland and back which was valid for 6 months. Obviously we won't be around to use it so we did the river crossing today.

As the afternoon went on the weather closed in; so we decided to head out to the airport to get the 3 Emirates A380's plus a few other internationals and mainly to just get out of the rain. I took many many photos this afternoon and below are just a small selection. As you can see the day was dark and gloomy and we got very wet getting photos of the Emirates aircraft.
