Air Busan Airbus A321 catches fire at the gate

A fire has erupted in the tail section of an Air Busan Airbus A321 at Gimhae International Airport in Busan, South Korea on Tuesday night.

The incident occurred at 10.30 pm while the aircraft was being loaded for the Busan-Gimhae  International Airport (PUS/RKPK) to Hong Kong-Chek Lap Kok to International Airport (HKG/VHHH) sector.

Emergency protocols were activated immediately, leading to the successful evacuation of all 176 passengers and crew members from the aircraft. Fire response teams rushed to the scene and began containment operations.

Local authorities confirmed the absence of injuries or casualties during the evacuation process.  Fire suppression efforts continue as emergency responders work to fully extinguish the blaze in the aircraft’s tail section.

The cause of the fire has not been confirmed yet.
