Korean Air crossed active runway, nearly causing disaster

On the 19th of April, a Korean Air Boeing 737, travelling from Jeju (CJU/RKPC) landed at Seoul Gimpo Airport, South Korea (GMP/RKSS), but failed to hold at taxiway "Echo 1" as instructed. KE1118 then crossed runway 32R where an Air Busan Airbus A321, flight BX8027 to Jeju, was on its takeoff run. The pilots of the A321 managed to get airborne ahead of "Echo 1" intersection and a massive collision was avoided. The incident is under investigation.
