Amberley Air Force Base

Thanks to a good friend of mine, I was informed that the USAF B2's, from the 509th Bomb Wing, Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri, here to support a Pacific Air Forces Bomber Task Force deployment, were going out on a mission and would return to Amberley around midday, so I headed out for a look. Amberley really is hit or miss. You could sit there for hours and get nothing or you could be there 5 minutes and get an air show.
Luck was on my side and I was really happy with what I captured.
It was the B'2s that I was excited to see, and they didn't disappoint.

The Northrop B-2 Spirit, also known as the Stealth Bomber, is an American heavy strategic bomber, featuring low observable stealth technology designed for penetrating dense anti-aircraft defenses. Designed during the Cold War, it is a flying wing design, (which reminds me of a sting ray) with a crew of two. The bomber is subsonic and can deploy both conventional and thermonuclear weapons, such as up to eighty 500-pound class (230 kg) Mk 82 JDAM GPS-guided bombs, or sixteen 2,400-pound (1,100 kg) B83 nuclear bombs. The B-2 is the only acknowledged aircraft that can carry large air-to-surface standoff weapons in a stealth configuration.

It is capable of all-altitude attack missions up to 50,000 feet (15,240 m), with a range of more than 6,000 nautical miles (11,120 km) on internal fuel and over 10,000 nautical miles (18,520 km) with one midair refueling.
