Vietnam Airline pilots forget to dangle the Dunlop's

VIETNAM AIRLINES B787-9 VN-871 (CN 39290)

The Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) is investigating what is called "an incorrect configuration incident" involving a Boeing 787-9 operated by Vietnam Airlines at Melbourne Airport last Thursday. VN 781 was travelling from Ho Chi Minh City's-Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SGN/VVTS) to Melbourne's Tullamarine Airport, (MEL/YMML) During approach to land, Melbourne Air Traffic Control advised the crew that the aircraft’s landing gear had not been extended. The crew cancelled the approach and initiated a missed approach / go around.
Flight tracking websites have recorded a lowest ADS-B reported altitude of 650 feet at 1 km short of the threshold of runway 34.
The aircraft later landed safely without incident.
