Taiwan’s E V A Air recently took  delivery of its first Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner. They will be adding 24 Dreamliners to their fleet, including the four 787-9s it has taken delivery of in the past few months and is currently operating. Following this first 787-10, the carrier will take delivery of three more by the end of 2019. EVA Air will complete its Dreamliner deliveries by 2022. The airline introduced the new aircraft on its busy Taipei – Hong Kong route on the 28th June and a short time later, extend the aircraft’s operations to Japan and more destinations in mainland China. EVA Air will begin flying 787-10s to Brisbane from the 8th October 2019. Throughout October and November, the service will run four times weekly. The daily service will commence from 1st December 2019 and run between then and the 31st January 2020. From 1st February 2020 through to 30 June 2020, the Thursday and Sunday flights will not operate. Services will revert back to daily from 1st July 2020 to accommodate the busy northern hemisphere holiday periods. The current schedule will be slightly tweaked. The nine-hour flights cruise through the night. The flight from Brisbane to Taipei is especially handy for a full day’s work in the Taiwanese capital. Come the 1st December 2019, the flight schedule will look like this;

BR315 Departs Taipei at 22.30 and arrives in Brisbane at 10.20 next day (Arrives Sun-Tue-Wed-Thu-Sat)
BR316 Departs Brisbane at 22.35 and arrives in Taipei at 5.15 the next day (Departs Sun-Tue-Wed-Thu-Sat)

The airline is using its 787-9s on its Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Hong Kong and Vienna routes. EVA Air plans to begin Dreamliner service to Vancouver in the first quarter of 2020. Eva is outfitting its 787-10s with 342 seats in two classes – 38 seats more than Eva's 787-9s carry. The airline expects to take delivery of its remaining nineteen 787-10s through to July 2022. Eva deploys its 787s now on routes from Taipei to Asian cities such as Bangkok, Hong Kong, Hangzhou, Nagoya, Osaka and Tokyo. It also flies 787s to Vienna from both Taipei and Bangkok.
Brisbane is the only Australian city Eva Air flies into. The airline has been gradually improving its service to Brisbane over the last few years.
