CSA (Czechoslovak State Airlines) (IATA: OK / ICAO: CSA) was founded on 6 October 1923, by the Czechoslovak government as Ceskoslovenske Statni Aerolinie. Twenty-three days later its first flight took place, flying between Prague and Bratislava. It operated only domestic services until its first international flight from Prague to Bratislava and then on to Yugoslavia to Zagreb in 1930. Czech Airlines is the national airline of the Czech Republic. Its head office is on the grounds of 6th district Prague, Vokovice. The airline's hub is at Václav Havel Airport Prague (IATA: PRG, ICAO: LKPR); however, it has other bases in the Czech city of Karlovy Vary and the Slovak cities of Bratislava and Košice. The airline runs a frequent flyer programme called "OK Plus" in reference to the airline's IATA designation. OK was also featured prominently in its previous livery, and is the prefix for the Czech Republic on aircraft registrations. It is a member of the SkyTeam alliance. Czech Airlines have two main shareholders, Travel Service (77.74%) and a Czech state company Prisko (20%) although Travel Service plans to acquire Prisko's stake, leaving Travel Service with a 97.74% stake in the airline. Korean Air held a 44 percent stake, which it sold to Travel Service in October 2017. ČSA is the fifth oldest airline in the world, behind Dutch KLM (1919), Colombian Avianca (1919), Qantas (1920) and Aeroflot (1923). Czech Airlines has just been awarded the highest ranking for safety with 7-stars from the world’s only safety and product rating agency AirlineRatings.com. After careful evaluation and feedback from the airline and aviation industry AirlineRatings.com has upgraded its seven-star safety rating system to give more importance to IOSA and this move elevates Czech Airlines up to 7-stars – the highest ranking. CSA uses the slogan "At home in the skies"
