Brisbane to Sydney Flight - (October Trip)

It was only yesterday plans were made that I would come to Sydney for a few days as there was a serious issue I had to sort out. Now that daylight savings has started in the southern states Queensland doesn't have daylight savings (because our premier is gutless and has no spine) so we are an hour behind. As I didn't want to get up at 3am and get a 5am flight I thought I would come down tonight and be refreshed and ready for the morning.
So, as my Qantas flight was leaving at 5.15pm I got to the airport just after 4pm. Went into the Qantas club and had a few refreshing cold ones before the flight. I Decided to leave my big SLR at home and I grabbed my little pocket camera, a Panasonic Lumix  DMC-TZ57.

I headed up to gate 22 where our Boeing 737-838 was waiting and I noticed it was VH-VYF (CN 33994) the last time I was on VYF was 23rd Nov 2015 from Melbourne to Brisbane.
We began boarding at 4.45pm and I took my seat which was 24F, once again it was a full flight.

The last cabin door was closed at 5.07pm and we pushed back at 5.09pm, we began taxiing for runway 19 at 5.12pm and taxied out to the Alpha three holding point.
After waiting for about a minute we lined up and commenced rolling, getting airborne at 5.18pm.

Due to severe thunderstorms in the area I expected the climb out to be very rough and uncomfortable. On the climb out we did the normal SID; banking left then right and we usually maintain that heading and go down over Beaudesert or Laravale. Not tonight; we continued our right turn and headed inland; our climb out was very steep and very fast. As we climbed to 380 our track took us to the west of Boonah and Tenterfield, then on to Muswellbrook.

The flight down was very comfortable and smooth and as I watched The Big Bang Theory I also noticed the amazing sunset on the way down.

Passing Muswellbrook at 6.07pm we began our descent into Sydney and we landed on runway 34R at 6.37, but as mentioned they have daylight savings so we had to put the time forward an our making our official landing 7.37pm.
