NATIONAL B747-428 N919CA (CN 25302) |
This aircraft started its life with Air France in Nov 1991 as F-GISB; then in Jan 2011 it went to Air Atlanta Icelandic, National Air Cargo took ownership of the aircraft in Oct 2011.
We then had an American Gulfstream G4-SP arrive from Melbourne and after an hour on the ground it departed for Darwin, this aircraft has been in before a few times but this is my first time seeing it.

The real draw card was of course the USAF C-32A this aircraft, with the callsign of SAM 338, arrived from Perth around 12.45 and parked down on the old international apron, now known as the Logistics Apron.

ALSO KNOW AS BOEING 757-2G4 |
This aircraft first flew on the 11th February 1998; so for an aircraft that is almost 20 years old it doesn't look to bad. Its test registration was N5573L.
It is powered by 2 Pratt & Whitney PW2040
Below are some of the other photos I took while I was waiting.
We watched a Qantas A330 taxi past us and held at the end of taxiway bravo at the bravo 1 holding point. It stayed there for at least 15 minutes and then it taxied back along alpha to the international bay. Not having my aircraft scanner with me no body knew what was going on and why it returned.
