Saturday 7th October The Roulettes are coming!
The RAAF Roulettes aerobatic display team will be a highlight of Brisbane Open House at Archerfield Airport
The display starts at 10am and features world-class formation flying, with the Roulettes’ Pilatus PC-9/A aircraft flying as close as 3m apart, up to speeds of 460km per hour, and as low as 80m.
Monday 16th October Singapore changes from the current A330 to their new A350, making Brisbane its second Australian destination for A350's. Then over the following three months, Singapore will gradually switch over their second and third daily flights to the A350-900. So come January 2018 three out of the four daily Brisbane flights will be served by the A350-900.
From November China Eastern will boost its services from four times a week to daily flights between Brisbane and Shanghai
Friday 1st December Emirates adds a third daily flight in the way of a B777, this flight arrives at 6.15pm direct from Dubai, then at 7pm their A380 arrives from Auckland. Emirates operates Brisbane-Dubai nonstop service with an Airbus A380 that continues onto Auckland.
Then there is the Dubai-Singapore-Brisbane flight operated by a 777-300ER.
and then of course the most exciting news of all; Brisbane will be the home to four Qantas Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners by the end of 2018.
