Today I had to head back to Sydney as I was interviewing for a new sales representative.
My flight was at 6.30 and boarding was at 6.10, so I set my alarm for 4.30am. But as usual my mind wouldn't shut off and I was awake at 2am. I got up at 4.20 and headed to the airport. Arriving there at 5.15 I went to the Qantas club for breakfast, I have never found a slide through toaster that cooks toast correctly the first pass, then on the second pass it burns them... frustrating.

I headed to gate 21 where our Qantas flight was waiting, we began boarding at 6.02am and I took my seat which was 20A; as I boarded I noticed the registration above the door and it was VH-VXE (CN 30899) the last time I was on VXE was in September 2015.
The last cabin door was closed at 6.25am and we pushed back at 6.30. We began taxing for runway 19 at 6.33. We held at Alpha 3 until a Virgin 777 landed and we lined up behind that aircraft. We began rolling and we got airborne at 6.37; after the usual left and right turns we set course for Sydney climbing to flight level 380.
The flight down was really smooth and comfortable, our track took us down over Beaudesert, east of Armidale and onto Muswellbrook. We wee put into a holding pattern for one circuit before continuing on. we began our descent at 7.28 and landed on runway 34R at 7.52am. Flight number 32 for the year completed.
