I got to the airport at 5.20am and headed up to the Qantas Club for breakfast. Boarding time was suppose to be 6.10am and knowing that Qantas never stick to their own times, I headed to the gate early, stopping along the way for my usual quick photo.

As expected, just as I arrived at our gate (19) we began boarding, and it was only 6.01am. I boarded the Boeing 737-838 and the rego for today's flight was VH-VYD (CN 33992)
I took my seat which was 12A, the last cabin door was closed at 6.26am and we pushed back right on 6.30am.
We taxied out at 6.34am and we headed out for an Alpha 3 departure. Arriving at the holding point we had a rolling start on runway 19 and got airborne at 6.38am. Once airborne we banked left for around 30 seconds before banking right and setting course for Sydney.

The captain come on the P A and said we would be climbing to flt lvl 380 and our flying time would be 1 hour 15 mins. As we climbed to flight level our track took us over Laravale (a way point) then east of Glen Innes and west of Tamworth before continuing on to Sydney. Right from take off the flight was extremely smooth and very comfortable. Because the flight was short I couldn't watch a movie so I opted for season 10 of the Big Bang Theory. We began our descent into Sydney at 7.26am and after overflying the city and making a wide berth out over the ocean, we turned back and landed on runway 34R at 7.58am.
As we taxied in I managed to grab a few photos of aircraft on my little pocket camera.
