As winter slowly creeps in the days are getting shorter so it is getting dark earlier. Having that in mind this afternoon after work I didn't head off for the 40 min drive (in normal traffic) to Sydney Airport, I decided to go to an airport a lot closer to our office and to where I am staying, Bankstown Airport.
Bankstown Airport operates 24 hours a day, with limitations placed on night circuit training. They have three asphalt runways;
11C / 29C at 1,416 meters (4,646 feet)
11L / 29R at 1,100 metres (3,609 feet)
11R / 29 L at 1,038 meters (3,406 feet)
Bankstown Airport is owned by the Federal Government and leased by Bankstown Airport Limited, It is 10 meters (34 feet) AMSL
