Well I woke this morning still buzzing after yesterday's air show, what a magnificent day it was, I checked out of my motel early and had a quick look around the water front before heading up the famous Castle Hill look out.
The drive up is around 4-5klms on a very steep incline but I was really surprised at the amount of people walking up there with families and dogs; I even saw people running up the hill and a guy on a push bike. I got tied just watching them.
After leaving the hill I went and got some breakfast and headed to the designated parking area for the RAAF open day. There I met up with friends from Brisbane and waited for the gates to open, but while we waited we had a Qantas Dash 8 fly over the top of us.

The queue lining up got longer and longer so lucky for us they opened the gates 20 minutes ahead of schedule at 9.40 am.
The amount of aircraft there and the quality of the aircraft there was really exciting and I was like a kid in a chocolate factory.
