Sunshine Coast Airport

Today my job took me up to the Sunshine Coast and even though I call up there every month I very rarely have time to stop and take photos as I drive past the airport.
Sunshine Coast Airport; formerly known as Maroochydore Airport (IATA: MCY, ICAO: YBSU) is the local airport serving the Sunshine Coast, in Queensland. It is the gateway to holiday destinations such as Noosa, Maroochydore, and Caloundra offering endless sunshine and amazing beaches.
You wouldn't think today was the first day of Spring as it seemed like a summer's day.

There are direct daily flights to Sydney and Melbourne with both Jetstar and Virgin. Air New Zealand also calls in with three weekly return flights from Maroochydore to Auckland. Alliance Airlines also have FIFO flights calling in from Emerald and QANTAS Link will commence flights from the Sunshine Coast to Sydney from 21st December 2015 using B717 aircraft.
Sunshine Coast Airport is situated in the suburb of Marcoola 10 klms (6.2 miles) north of Maroochydore, (114 klms / 70 miles from Brisbane) and is owned, operated, managed and developed by the Sunshine Coast Regional Council.
The airport has two runways; the main runway (which is asphalt) 18/36 is 1,797 metres (5,896 feet) long and the shorter runway (which is paved) 12/30 is 650 metres (2,133 feet) long. The airport is 5mts (15 feet) AMSL and the tower is in operation from 7.30 am until 9 pm, it is CTAF after that.
