A spokesperson said: "During pushback from the gate, a guest was overheard making a threat to the safety of our aircraft stating something about a bomb onboard. As a precaution, the captain immediately taxied the Airbus A330 to a safe location on the airfield, where it was met with local and federal law enforcement and guests were safely deplaned."
It is understood that the flight was moved to a secure location and was being checked by K9 units. The airport was operating as normal, and no other flights had been impacted.
A passenger on that flight said the ordeal was frightening and left her a little traumatized.

Oh, confirming, this is a bomb threat?
" Affirmative, it's the Hawaiian heavy Airbus."
"It was very terrifying," said passenger Jacqueline Linares. "I get inside the plane just to get off the plane a few minutes later. This was really overwhelming."
"Oh, it was definitely scary," shared another Hawaiian Airlines passenger.
"I thought that there was just something wrong with the plane like a mechanical issue or something, so I just thought ‘Ok, that's fine, like they're fixing it,’ but when I saw FBI coming on the plane with their rifles and stuff, then I started to get scared and a little panicked," she continued.
"The FBI got on and they went towards the back of the plane, and they arrested somebody along with his friend or someone that was with him. After that they told us to get off the plane and we were only allowed to bring a phone and our wallet, and they shuttled us to a hanger on the runway."
The passenger said the arrested suspects appeared to be foreigners.
