Yesterday, my wife, daughter, and I headed to the Gold Coast for the weekend to enjoy the Pacific Airshow. After settling into our unit in the afternoon, we strolled along the waterfront to catch the tail end of the day's events. A friend staying in a high-rise apartment on the 34th floor invited us up, offering a spectacular view.
The Pacific Airshow Gold Coast is a three-day event that showcases exhilarating aerobatic performances by the world's top civilian and military aviators. It's the largest airshow ever held in Australia, drawing over 280,000 spectators from the ticketed area, nearby beaches, and high-rise balconies.
It's more than just an airshow, it's a grand celebration of camaraderie, family, and friendship, combined with breathtaking aviation displays and the excitement of sports, entertainment, art, and technology. Held over the water of Surfers Paradise, the event avoids the monotony of typical airshows, delivering over four hours of continuous, high-energy action. As soon as one performance concludes, the next one begins.
