Delta is well and truly on a roll with their latest route announcements, adding yet another to their ever-growing list of Los Angeles announcements, with their first ever scheduled services non-stop to Auckland in New Zealand.
Inaugurating on the 28th of October 2023, Delta will begin flying to Auckland directly using their Airbus A350-900 fleet, operating the new service on a daily basis. This will also mark the first U.S. carrier to offer a direct service between L.A. and Auckland.
American Airlines and United service Auckland now from Dallas and San Francisco respectively.
Auckland now joins Delta’s list of newly restored services, alongside a new service to Nice in France and increased frequencies to both Paris and Tel Aviv.
Not only this, but recently, Delta already commenced new services from L.A. to Tahiti, Paris, and London Heathrow, making Auckland their fourth new L.A. destination, offering yet more choices for international travel for its customers.
Adding his thoughts to Delta’s latest announcement out of L.A., their Senior Vice President for Network Planning, Joe Esposito, says, “With more than 1,750 weekly flights to 85 destinations around the globe this summer, Delta is well positioned to deliver on its plans to fully restore its network in 2023.”
“With brand-new flights this year to cities like Auckland, Geneva, and London Gatwick, we’re giving customers more options to enjoy the premium experience and elevated hospitality they have come to know and expect from us.”
The flight will operate with the following schedule:
DL65 will depart Los Angeles for Auckland at 10:30PM arriving 7:35AM 2 days later.
DL64 will depart Auckland for Los Angeles at 2:00PM arriving 6:05AM
