Brisbane to Alice Springs via Adelaide

Back on the 17th August I went out to Alice Springs to view the aircraft parked up at the Asia Pacific Air Park, back then there were around 75 aircraft. Now that there is almost 140 and I wanted to come out and have a look. So today I headed out to Alice Springs via Adelaide.

VIRGIN AUSTRALIA B737-8FE VH-YFF (MSN 40994)

VIRGIN AUSTRALIA B737-8FE VH-VUG (MSN 34438)

MY RIDE - VIRGIN AUSTRALIA B737-8FE VH-YID (MSN 38709)

I departed Brisbane on VA1388 at 8.50am, the aircraft was a B737-8FE registration VH-YID. We departed on the old runway 19L at 9.07 and climbed to 380. The climb out of Brisbane was very rough due to bad weather around Brisbane. After 20 minutes of slight / moderate turbulence we cleared the weather and the flight was very smooth from there on. We landed in Adelaide on runway 05 at 11.23am (Adelaide time).

JETSTAR A320-232 VH-VFD (MSN 4922)

QANTAS B737-838 VH-XZP (MSN 44577)

COBHAM AVIATION AVRO RJ100 VH-NJQ (MSN E3328)

My second flight was due to depart at 1pm. Getting off the plane we were met with police and security guards, those travelling through to Alice Springs were moved to a different area and we had to show I.D and boarding pass. Unlike our Brisbane flight which was full to the brim, our second flight had about 30 passengers. I was in 3F and I had the first three rows to myself. I departed Adelaide on VA1741, registration VH-YFW (MSN 41037) We departed 10 minutes early at 12.50. We taxied out for runway 05 again and had a rolling start getting airborne at 1pm.

We climbed to flt lvl 400 and the whole flight from start to finish was very smooth and comfortable.

We landed on runway 30 in Alice 20 minutes ahead of schedule to showers. After showing our boarder pass and I.D I was on my way. I had a helicopter flight booked for 3pm. Those photos will follow in the day or so.
