Vivid Sydney 2019

This morning I flew down to Sydney on business for a few days.
Knowing that the Vivid Light show is on I wanted to go into the city after work and have a look.
If there’s one place in the world where inspiration shines bright, it’s Vivid Sydney. Returning for its eleventh year, Vivid runs from 24th May - 15th June 2019. Vivid Sydney is Australia’s most loved and awarded festival that brings together light artists, music makers and brilliant minds to share their creativity with you. See the city transformed. Discover new artforms. Ride soundwaves. Spark new ideas and ignite conversations. Let your imagination take flight.
I don't know my way around Sydney all that well, especially around the Rocks and Bridge area, so I just went to a few places I knew.

Vivid began as a Smart light festival in 2009 for energy efficiency curated by lighting designer Mary-Anne Kyriakou and headlined by Brian Eno who in collaboration with lighting designer Bruce Ramus, projected light painting onto both sides of the Opera House. Currently, it is the biggest festival of lights, music and ideas in the world. It is owned, managed and bankrolled by Destination NSW, the state government’s tourism and events agency. The centrepiece of Vivid Sydney is the light sculptures, multimedia interactive work and building projections that transform various buildings and landmarks such as the Opera House and Harbour Bridge in and around the Sydney central business district into an outdoor night time canvas of art.
