Brisbane to Melbourne Flight (May Trip)

It was time to head back to Melbourne this morning so once again I found myself heading off to the airport. My Qantas flight (605) was due to depart at 6am and boarding was going to be at 5.40.
I arrived at the airport at 4.50am and once I cleared security I headed to the Qantas lounge for breakfast and coffee, but I had to take a few photos first.

Once there I met up with my manager (director of the business) as he too was coming to Melbourne with me. We made our way to gate 20 at 5.40 where our Boeing 737-838 was waiting and boarding started at 5.43. I took my seat which was 23F and I noticed on the way I was on VH-VXS (CN 33723). The flight was very full and the final cabin door wasn't closed until 6.08am.

We pushed back at 6.09 am and taxiied at 6.12am, we taxied out for runway 19, holding at the holding point at Alpha Three. We waited a few minutes and lined up, getting airborne at.6.18am. Shortly after take off we banked left for a few minutes and the we banked right and set course for Melbourne.

There we no seat back tv's on this flight so I used my iPad to connect to Q streaming.  Knowing the flight was just over 2 hours I checked the movies and settled on "Mother's Day" with Jennifer Aniston, Shay Mitchell and Julia Roberts. I really enjoyed this movie.
As we had misty rain the climb out was quite rough with slight to moderate turbulance.
Once cleared the clouds the ride became very smooth and we could all relax and enjoy the flight.

Breakfast was served on this flight but I just opted for a cup of tea. Our track south was the usual route, abeam Glen Innes, over flying Tamworth and on to Yarrawonga. We began our descent from 380 at 7.47 am and we landed on runway 16 in Melborne 10 minutes early at 8.15am. The weather here was worse than, Brisbane 8 deg and raining.
