As mentioned in another post the hotel where I am staying is right near the approach / departure track for 34/16 in Melbourne. As they were using 34 for approach early this morning I went out onto my balcony fully equipped with hot coffee, breakfast, aircraft scanner, iPad with radar up and of course my camera. Hainan A330 was on approach and then called "Go Around", the tower asked what was the reason for the go around, the reply was "we were to high". Hainan climbed to 5,000 and made left hand turns coming in for a second approach. The tower then informed them there was now a 10 knot tail wind and if he wants he can abort and track for a runway 16 approach. Much to my disappointment and frustration in the change of runways the pilots opted for that and once again climbed to 5,000. The flight pattern below shows the passengers had a really good look around before finally coming in to land.

Frustrated I decided to go the the airport and park at the top of the car park and take photos, unfortunately that option was out as the company van I was in was way to high for the car park and I hit the height markers.
