Today I had "another" 3 am start but like Saturday's 3am start I didn't mind as once again I was heading off to the airport, but I wasn't travelling anywhere. There is a group of aircraft spotters from Manchester England here in Brisbane and they were going airside for a few hours and since there were a lot of empty seats on the bus, I received an invitation via email to join this group today.
We had to gather outside the BAC (Brisbane Airport Corporation) office at 4.30am as we were going airside at 5am. We were out there until 8.40 then when we boarded the bus we drove past the hangers before leaving airside.

The below Jetstar Dash 8's have just recently been painted, they were in Qantas colours but Jetstar have taken them on and these will be heading to New Zealand to go up against Air New Zealand on its domestic routes. There are 5 all up and they will leave here this month sometime.

When we returned to the BAC office we were treated with a hearty breakfast.
After breakfast I headed off to do a few calls in the area but I returned at midday because I knew there was a Singapore Cargo 747 coming in.
