EVA Air & Thai Airways collide on tarmac at Tokyo-Haneda Airport

Two Airbus A330s of EVA Air and Thai Airways collided on the tarmac of Tokyo Haneda Airport, (HND/RJTT) resulting in the damage of the Thai Airways’ winglet and the cancellation of that flight.
Many other flights were delayed throughout the day as Haneda airport closed one of its runways while the accident investigation was in progress.

The right winglet on the Thai and the left horizontal stabilizer on the EVA were damaged. There were no personal injuries among occupants of both planes.

Following the collision, you could see airport staff taking photographs and moving debris from the wing. Even though there isn’t an official report yet, there are some rumors that the EVA Air plane was not in the right position.

Haneda Airport has gotten extremely busy, just like Narita, with a lot of tarmac construction and that might have been a contributing factor.
Following the incident, passengers were let back into the terminal and had to queue up at a service counter to receive rebooking's on other carriers to their final destination.
