Massive queues already at airports ahead of Easter long weekend

This is great to see, it shows that the aviation industry is strong again and people have confidence in flying.

Massive queues have already formed at Australia's airports, with passengers warned to expect very long delays ahead of their flights. Hundreds of thousands of travellers are expected to move through the terminals in coming days for the Easter long weekend.

Sydney Airport is expecting 82,000 people through its domestic terminal today alone, with 58,000 forecast for Brisbane today.

Sydney Airport said queues there are moving well, with most passengers clearing check-in and security within an hour. Queues there are expected to ease towards midday, then peak again in the afternoon.
Customers without a car park booking are urged to use alternative transport.

Melbourne is anticipating 380,000 passengers in the coming five days.
Adelaide Airport is expecting its busiest day in two years with 25,000 expected to pass through the gates today. Long queues started to form by 5am.
People are again being told to brace for delays, and to arrive at the airport at least two hours before a domestic flight and three hours before an international flight.
Melbourne Airport CEO Lyall Stranby has said COVID-19 resulted in thousands of highly skilled workers being made redundant.
The majority of the delays have been at check ins with people checking in baggage, but people have also been waiting up to an hour for their bags upon arriving in Melbourne.
