Spotting at Caboolture Aerodrome

As mentioned in my previous post yesterday,  I was invited to go on a formation joy flight. While I waited for the time to go up, I spent my time taking photos of other aircraft moving around the air field. Caboolture Airfield (IATA: CA3 / ICAO: YCAB) is an aerodrome catering to general aviation and ultralight aircraft located in Caboolture, approximately 55 km (34 miles) north of Brisbane. The airfield is maintained and operated by the Caboolture Aero Club Incorporated. The airfield is also a popular site for the restoration of historic aircraft and a number of associated businesses are located onsite. There are two grass runways, 12/30 which is 3,993 feet (1,210 mts) and  06/24 which is 2,709 feet (821 mts) and the airport is 40 feet (12 mts) AMSL. The airport does not have a control tower so pilots are required to communicate via a Common Traffic Advisory Frequency (CTAF) to safely co-ordinate arrivals and departures.
