REX (Regional EXpress) looses prop mid air
A Regional Express (REX) aircraft with 19 people on board (16 passengers and 3 crew) issued a PAN PAN PAN after the right propeller assembly detached over southern suburbs of Sydney early this morning. The aircraft, a SAAB 340, was travelling from Albury (YMAY) to Sydney (YSSY) and was 19klms south of the airport when the incident happened, the aircraft continued on and landed safely in Sydney.
