Melbourne to Brisbane Flight (February Trip)

After three long hot days, and a very succesful trip, it was time to come home.
My flight home was at 5.10pm, so I left the office around 3.30pm; as I headed to the airport I thought there were a few internationals coming out, especially the Cathay Pacific A350 which I had never seen before. So with a little bit of time up my sleeve, I went to a viewing spot to grab them.

Unfortunately the Cathay left the gate 25 minutes late making my arrival at the airport very nervous and hair raising, but since I have never seen an A350 I really wanted to see it.

I got to gate 12, where my flight was leaving from, right on 4.50pm and they commenced boarding at 4.53pm. I had enough time to grab a few quick photos before boarding.

I took my turn in boarding the Qantas Boeing 737-838 and took my seat which was 29A. The aircraft for this trip was VH-VXT (CN 33760)
The cabin door was closed at 5.16 and we pushed back at 5.18pm.
We began taxiing at 5.21 and taxied out for runway 27, an east - west runway.

After waiting for an arriving aircraft we lined up and got airborne at 5.27pm, after departing we banked right and set course for Brisbane.




















Climbing to flt lvl 370 our track took us west of Wagga Wagga, over Mudgee and Tamworth and on to Casino where we banked left and tracked towards Archerfield airport. We began our descent at 6.53pm and once over Archerfield we banked right and got established on the ILS for runway 01, landing in Brisbane at 7.18pm.





















Because Queensland doesn't have daylight saving we had to loose an hour making our offical arrival 6.17pm. When we landed I waited for the arriving Emirates A80 that was coming in behind us.
