Our office at Hemmant in Brisbane sits on the flight path for departures South when runway 19 is in use, sitting in a meeting this morning I heard a massive roar go over head and I thought "I wonder who that is, as that was big and unusual for this time of day"
During a break from the meeting I quickly checked Plane Finder and I noticed QANTAS 8; who does Dallas to Sydney; had diverted into Brisbane this morning.
At 7.15am QF 8 VH-OQF (CN 029) touched down on runway 19 in Brisbane.
At 9.08am local it departed as QF 6001 from runway 19 and landed in Sydney at 10.20 local (11.20 Sydney time) on runway 16R. At this point of time I am not sure why it diverted or changed flight numbers.

QANTAS A380 VH-OQF QF8 Brisbane Diversion
QANTAS A380 VH-OQF operating QF8 Dallas-Fort Worth
– Sydney (depart Dallas-Fort Worth 28th February) diverted
to Brisbane this morning.
The diversion was decided upon either before departure from
Dallas-Fort Worth or very early into the flight. Passengers
were dispersed onto Domestic services at Brisbane.
The aircraft then positioned Brisbane – Sydney as QF6001.
