Air India Expreess flight makes emergency landing

An Air India Express aircraft executed an emergency landing at Kozhikode International Airport after experiencing critical landing gear complications.

Flight IX345, traveling from Kozhikode (CCJ/VOCL) to Dubai (DXB/OMDB), encountered mechanical difficulties shortly after its departure, which had been scheduled for 8.15 AM with an anticipated arrival in Dubai at 11.05 AM, but due to delays, it didn't depart until 10.00 AM.

The flight crew detected a severe malfunction preventing proper landing gear deployment, prompting immediate safety protocols. The pilot established communication with Karipur airport authorities, triggering an emergency response system across the facility.

Ground teams mobilized emergency services and positioned them strategically around the runway in anticipation of the landing.

The aircraft successfully completed its emergency landing maneuver under heightened safety measures, ensuring the security of all passengers and crew members aboard. Technical teams have initiated a comprehensive investigation into the landing gear malfunction while stranded passengers waited for further developments at the terminal.

Maintenance crews actively addressed the mechanical issues, though the delay extended beyond an hour. After proper evaluation, the flight took off again and landed safely in Dubai with over two hours of delay.
