Brisbane to Melbourne Trip and Spotting

Today I was heading off on a flight once again but this time with my wife and daughters. We were heading to Melbourne for an annual family reunion. After flying Qantas for years I decided to give Virgin a try this time. Our Virgin flight was leaving at 7.55am and boarding was to be at 7.25am.
We got to the airport at 6.40 and after clearing security we made our way up stairs for some breakfast. We made our way to gate 46 where our Boeing 737-8FE was waiting for us. We began boarding at 7.23am and as we boarded I noticed the aircraft was VH-VUL (CN 36603). We took our seats, my wife and I were in 24 E and F and our daughters were in 23 E and F.
The last cabin door was closed at 7.47 and we pushed back at 7.50. At 7.54 we began to taxi out for runway 01R. (Due to the progress of the second runway taking shape, Brisbane has gone to Left and Right to remove any confusion)

We arrived at the holding point and once cleared we had a rolling start, getting airborne at 8.01am. We maintained runway heading for about 90 seconds before banking right and flying back down abeam the airport.

We climbed to 380 for while then due to slight turbulence we descended to 360. Turbulence still persisting we descended to and maintained an altitude of 280. (28,000 feet)
We began our descent into Melbourne at 9.56 and after flying downwind of the airport and circling back we landed on runway 34 at 10.16am. Due to daylight savings we had to put the time forward one hour so our official landing time was 11.16am.

Once we collected our luggage and hire car we made our way to meet a very close dear friend and his 10 year old son (who knows a huge amount aviation) and spent the afternoon plane spotting and discussing aircraft models.
